Political leadership & Policy making

• 15 years of experience of political leadership and policy making, delivering social, economic projects and initiatives to promote economic growth, job creation, and prosperity. generating income streams to balance council budget.
• playing a central role to making budget and investment decisions to allow for Luton borough council to become a sustainable council under a difficult financial climate. Developed policies
• and making strategic decisions resulting in London Luton Airport one of the fastest growing airports in the country. 
• Innovating health models (Social prescription) that is embedded in the wider NHS.
• Delivering A 7 Death and burial service Economic that is regarded as the best in the country 
• integration of Sports /Health and Physical activity embedding public health across all council activities & enabling Community Asset transfer

• 8-years of experience in Sourcing & Trading commodities within Asian, European and African markets
• A successful business in real estate providing much needed housing in the local area.
• 10-years in construction management, including procurement & property development

• Vice President of south councillor’s forum: providing leadership, liaising with the Pakistani high commission in Uk and resolving issues affecting overseas Pakistani/Kashmiri diaspora including Travel, safety, and civil disputes.
• Governor for Bedfordshire university– monitoring the university performance against approved strategies and performance indicators
• Director of Cricket development at Lutonian cricket club: Collaborating with national and international networks, empowering youth, enabling them to achieve their aspirations in sports
